Description

From New York Times bestselling author and Wattpad sensation Anna Todd, “the biggest literary phenom of her generation” (Cosmopolitan), comes the sequel to the internet’s most talked-about book—the inspiration behind the major motion picture After We Collided. Now with new exclusive material!

Tessa has everything to lose. Hardin has nothing to lose...except her. AFTER WE COLLIDED...Life will never be the same.

After a tumultuous beginning to their relationship, Tessa and Hardin were on the path to making things work. She knew he could be cruel, but when a bombshell revelation is dropped about the origins of their relationship—and Hardin’s mysterious past—Tessa is beside herself.

Hardin will always be...Hardin. But is he really the deep, thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with despite his angry exterior, or has he been a stranger all along? She wishes she could walk away. It’s just not that easy. Not with the memory of passionate nights spent in his arms. His electric touch. His hungry kisses.

Still, Tessa’s not sure she can endure one more broken promise. She put so much on hold for Hardin—school, friends, her mom, a relationship with a guy who really loved her, and now possibly even a promising new career. She needs to move forward with her life.

Hardin knows he made a mistake, possibly the biggest one of his life. He’s not going down without a fight. But can he change? Will he change...for love?

This book might be my favorite of the series. I know many people give it bad reviews for being too toxic but I think it shows struggles of real relationships. It shows the toxicity, but the desire to grow, and change, and learn because of a love so deep. The After series will take you on a heartbreaking ride but I don’t think I’ve ever read something more real.

First off, I can’t believe she based the main character off of Harry. He would never be so toxic and every Harry fan knows he deeply respects women. Second, it sets a bad example for young readers, making it look ok to be selfish and promoting toxic relationships. Not ok at all.

I used to hate on the After series when the first one came on Netflix. I decided to read the books and I fell in love with them. Truly an amazing book and series. It portrays real relationships and how things happen in life. I read After We Collided in 2 days.
  • Amazing even the second time around.

After watching the movie “After” on Netflix, I was hooked. I needed to know what was going to happen next, and couldn’t wait for the next movie. I’m not much of a reader at all, but that didn’t stop me from buying all 4 books. I read all 4 within a week. I couldn’t put it down. I laughed, cried, and felt heartache as if their pains happened to me. So much heartache. As soon as I finished all 4, I watched the movie again. Fast forward a few months, the cycle repeated. I watched the movie again, simply because I missed it. Which in turn caused me to, once again, read the series all the way through. I just finished the last book, and it was if I didn’t read it before. I felt every emotion again. The laughs, the pain, the tears and heartache. But now that I’ve finished, tomorrow I plan on watching the movie once more as I did the first time. As I mentioned, I’m not much of a reader, but this series was seriously amazing. It got a person who doesn’t read, hooked and wanting to read more. The author, Anna Todd, has a way with words; she’s an amazing writer. I have struggled to find another series to read that captured my attention the way this has. I will constantly keep a look out for anything else she publishes. The only thing that hurt the most, was the time spent apart. I get it though, she needed to find herself. And he needed to find himself as well, in a different manner. But I felt like I missed out on so much in their lives. It felt rushed. I wanted to know if they got married, and how it went. How it was for them during their pregnancies. I would LOVE if another book was released to give us that. But if it’s meant to leave the reader to their imagination, I’ve never been good at that. Which is why I never read, but I try regardless. Overall, I personally give this series a 10/10. I’m sure I’ll end up reading it all the way through again in the future. There were A LOT of ups and downs, but isn’t that life?

I honestly only read this book because of morbid curiosity to see what happens to their relationship. The first book depicted a horrible relationship that no one should have to suffer through. I actually liked this book better than the first in how the relationship changes. Still very toxic but it was nice to see if from both POV. They are both super manipulative with one another but when you’re in a toxic relationship that is the standard setting. In the real word they both need some serious counseling to deal with their past traumas. I hear the 3rd book is better than the first 2. Still on the fence on if I will continue reading this series.
  • Bad example for young readers

I was excited to read this after seeing the trailer for the movie but this book is not good for young readers. Their relationship is toxic and teaches young women that staying in a relationship like that is ok. I thought Tessa would have moved on in this book but apparently I was wrong. I won’t be wasting my money on the next book.
